Rules

Who runs it, who gets in

The New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) is a Crown corporation established on June 26, 2008 under the Gaming Control Act. It develops, organizes, conducts and manages provincial lottery and gaming activities. Two private service providers run casino gaming for it: Great Canadian Gaming New Brunswick at Casino New Brunswick, and Grey Rock Entertainment Center Inc. at Grey Rock Casino. Wolastoq Casino describes itself as proudly owned and operated by Saint Mary's First Nation, and supports over 130 team members.

All three casinos are 19+. Valid government photo ID is what Casino New Brunswick asks to see, for instance a driver's licence, a provincial ID card or a passport. Guests there who look younger than 30 may be asked for a second piece. Grey Rock requires valid government-issued photo ID and checks it for guests who appear to be 25 or under.

Who Runs Gambling in New Brunswick

Online

Playing online from New Brunswick

The province states that ALC.ca is the only legal and regulated online gambling platform in New Brunswick. Atlantic Lottery requires players to be 19+ to purchase, play or redeem its products, ALC.ca included.

Atlantic Lottery also says other gambling sites cannot legally operate or advertise in Atlantic Canada under Canadian and provincial law. It adds that claims of being licensed and regulated overseas do not change this.

This guide's home page carries paid links, each marked Ad. They lead to a privately owned online casino site that is not ALC.ca and that the province neither runs nor licenses. The guide earns a commission on those links, and the partner can change. Inner pages have no paid links.
